mark-torokMark has been a practicing licensed Physical Therapist for 14 years. He started his healthcare career as a US Navy Fleet Marine Force Corpsman and served for six years prior to enrolling in the University of Rhode Island. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Biology, Master of Science in Physical Therapy and Master of Business Administration from URI. He holds a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Arcadia University. Mark has focused his career primarily in the outpatient orthopedics and sports physical therapy setting and has collaborated with the foremost orthopedic surgeons in the region. For almost a decade, Mark was part of a leading integrated orthopedic and physical therapy practice in southern RI as a senior therapist and Clinic Manager. During his tenure he designed, implemented and managed several successful programs and a satellite clinic for the practice. He then went on to become the Regional Director of Operations for a large physical therapy company with seven outpatient locations throughout the state of Rhode Island.

Mark has extensive experience with orthopedic interventions, surgeries and treatments and has amassed a wealth of knowledge in the non-surgical and post-surgical rehabilitation of musculoskeletal, neuromuscular and sports-related conditions. As a former baseball player and military veteran, Mark’s clinical interests lie in rehabilitation of the athlete, ACL reconstruction rehabilitation, biomechanics, joint replacement and reconstruction rehabilitation and sport-specific physical therapy. Mark resides in Wakefield, RI with his wife and two daughters and enjoys fitness, playing guitar and the beach.

Anchor Physical Therapy is the culmination of Mark’s experience and practice in the field of orthopedic and sports medicine rehabilitation.

Dr. Katie A. Beatley, PT, DPT
Physical Therapist

Katie has been a practicing Physical Therapist for 11 years.  Her interest in rehabilitation began as a teenager while undergoing physical therapy to manage multiple sports-related injuries.  Katie graduated from James Madison University with a Bachelor’s degree in Health Science and went on to receive her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Elon University.  Most of her career has been in both the outpatient and acute care settings with a strong focus on orthopedic rehabilitation. She also has a clinical interest in treating patients diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease and is LSVT BIG certified.  Prior to moving to RI in 2017, Katie was the lead physical therapist in a private outpatient clinic in Texas.  Katie resides in Wakefield, RI with her husband, two children, and two dogs.  She enjoys spending time outside being active with her family and is a health enthusiast.
