Dr. Mark A. Torok, PT, DPT, MS, MBA
Owner and Founder, Anchor Physical Therapy
Mark began his healthcare career as a US Navy Fleet Marine Force Corpsman and served for six years prior to enrolling in the University of Rhode Island. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Biology, Master of Science in Physical Therapy, and Master of Business Administration from URI. He holds a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Arcadia University. For almost two decades, Mark has focused his career primarily in the outpatient orthopedics and sports physical therapy setting and has collaborated with the foremost orthopedic surgeons in the region. Prior to founding Anchor Physical Therapy, Mark was part of a leading integrated orthopedic and physical therapy practice in southern RI as a Senior Therapist and Clinic Manager. During his tenure, he designed, implemented, and managed several successful programs and a satellite clinic for the practice.
Mark has extensive experience with orthopedic interventions, surgeries, and treatments and has amassed a wealth of knowledge in the non-surgical and post-surgical rehabilitation of musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, and sports-related conditions. He has been privileged to treat a wide variety of patients including professional athletes, military and first responders, weekend warriors, and collegiate and high school competitors.
As a former baseball player and military veteran, Mark’s clinical interests lie in the rehabilitation of the athlete, ACL reconstruction rehabilitation, biomechanics, joint replacement and reconstruction rehabilitation, and sport-specific physical therapy. Mark resides in Wakefield, RI with his wife and two daughters and enjoys fitness, playing guitar, and the beach.
Dr. Katie A. Beatley, PT, DPT
Katie has been a practicing Physical Therapist for 13 years. Her interest in rehabilitation began as a teenager while undergoing physical therapy to manage multiple sports-related injuries. Katie graduated from James Madison University with a Bachelor’s degree in Health Science and went on to receive her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Elon University. Much of her career has been in both the outpatient and acute care settings with a strong focus on orthopedic rehabilitation.
She also has a clinical interest in treating patients diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease and is LSVT BIG certified. Katie uses evidence-based practices while coordinating patient care with other health care providers, and providing patients with educational resources, for optimal patient outcomes.
Prior to moving to Rhode Island in 2017, Katie was the lead physical therapist in a private outpatient clinic in Texas. Katie now resides in Wakefield, RI with her husband, two children, and two dogs. She enjoys spending time outside being active with her family and is a health enthusiast.
Meg O’Neill, MS, PT
Meg has been a licensed Physical Therapist for over 30 years since graduating from Duke University with a Master of Science in Physical Therapy. She started her career at a leading rehabilitation center that specialized in neurological and orthopedic care. She then expanded her knowledge and experience as a traveling PT, working in several states and in a variety of settings including hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and home care.
For the last 20 years, Meg has provided personalized interventions at outpatient orthopedic clinics in the South County area. She specializes in the treatment of musculoskeletal injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, and age-related changes.
Outside of work, Meg is happiest spending time with her family. She is also a lifelong tennis player, a sometimes gardener, and a frequent walker.
